1. Primitive metal texture

2. Increase the texture detail
Open the material picture Redmetal.jpg, use Ctrl + A command to select all images, Ctrl + C copy to the clipboard. Translator's Note: If, like me, like lazy, you can not have a series of shortcut keys, press the Shift key, use the move tool to drag the image directly to the target Red Metal background layer on top of the document. 3. Change the color and texture

4. To increase the surface spalling
Open the picture Corrosion.jpg, copy it to the target document Lime metal layer, named "Corrosion". This is a scrap metal image, surface rust damage is very serious. 5. Add extra scratch marks
Open the image Scarredmetal.jpg, copy the image to the target document's Metal layer above the layer named "Scarred metal", we place it on top, this effect will be significantly lower than the number of layers in the Metal. 6. Adding a second layer peeling details
Open the material Flakedmetal.jpg, copied to the Scarred metal layer, named "Flaked Metal". 7. To create a large area of peeling metal
Open the material Chippedpaint.jpg, copied to the target document, the top level, will be renamed the new layer "Chipped paint". Set the level of mixed-mode light, layer opacity down to 60%. This can be a good show in layer after peeling off the metal surface morphology, while a small light pattern to color results would show the color of oxidized metal texture. 8. The definition of exposure to regional constituencies

In the copy layer, it will copy layer opacity to 100%. To color, adjust brightness / contrast, to ensure the contrast is 100. Switch to the channel panel, copy either a monochrome channel, will be renamed copy of the channel.
In the second method, increasing the opacity of the layer allows you to better control the image changes. In the Open brightness / contrast dialog box, ensure that the Preview option is selected circumstances, while moving the slider, while observation of the image. 9. Add another metal material

10. Add the dripping stains

11. To create three-dimensional

12. Increase the surface dust
Finally, we make some dust off the metal surface. New layer of the background layer, fill with white, after the mixed layer layer mode to "dissolve", opacity down to 51%.
